Liturgical Ministry:  We invite you to prayerfully consider participating in one of our parish ministries.
Altar Servers:  Assist the priest during the celebration of The Divine Liturgy; open to all youth who have received The Sacrament of the Eucharist.
Extraordinary Ministers:  Must be 18 yrs. old and have received The Sacrament of Confirmation assisting with The
Sacrament of the Eucharist during Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Funeral Liturgy Team:  Parishioners who are trained to assist during Funeral Liturgies.
Greeters: Hospitality greeters are also ushers and greet parishioners as they enter the church before the celebration of The Divine Liturgy.   
Lectors:  Trained to proclaim the Word of the Lord during the Liturgy of the Word.
Musicians, Cantors, Choir:  Lead the congregation in prayer and worship to glorify God during The Divine Liturgy.
Ushers:  Adult men and women who are also greeters, assist in seating parishioners with special needs, delivery of the gifts and collection of the offering. 

What is expected of parish members: 
  1. Register with the parish office:  814-382-7252 or office@olqachurch.org
  2. Participate in the celebration of The Divine Liturgy on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.
  3. Prepare by The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation at least once a year.
  4. Receive The Sacrament of the Eucharist/Holy Communion at least once a year during the Easter season.
  5. Fasting and Abstinence on the days appointed.
  6. Contribute to the support of the church.
  7. Observe the laws of the church concerning The Sacrament of Matrimony.
What About Children who are 18 Years of Age or Older?
Children are considered members with their parents until they turn 18 years old. At age 18, it is their own responsibility to attend church and to register as a member independent of their parents.
