The Faith Formation Program

The parish faith formation program is designed to assist parents in their role as the primary educators in faith for their children. Parishioners who volunteer as catechists teach the youth through prayer, instruction, learning activities and example of dedicated service. Youth are encouraged to participate in the various social and service activities held in the parish, as well as attending regular worship with their parents.

Sacrament Preparation

The parish faith formation program provides the catechesis which meets the requirements of the Diocese of Erie. Each sacramental experience is a celebration of an encounter with the God of life. Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, continued the works of God of the Old Covenant. He made a New Covenant sealed with His blood on Calvary which will last through all ages.
The Church celebrates this Paschal mystery without ceasing to let His saving blood flow over us. This is done through the action of the Holy Spirit in the seven sacraments. The Holy Spirit moves, enlivens, encourages, informs the minds and hearts of all believers when they receive each sacrament with loving faith.
