Christmas outreach Project for Religious Formation

Religious Formation Students grades K-12 are collecting blankets & draw string bags for the gentlemen of Saint James Haven in Meadville.
Our elementary students will be packing these up for delivery on December 13th.
If you would like donate, please drop them off at the PEC or the church until December 9th!

Henninger Scholarship

In remembrance of Carl Henninger, his family has established a very generous scholarship to help the young parishioners of Our Lady Queen of the Americas attend college. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, it is very important that you attend this informational meeting that outlines the requirements. 2016 CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES (11th GRADE)

Confirmation Candidates are required to meet with Denise Thomas(deniset@zoominternet.net) and Amanda Darke (adarke@zoominternet.net) prior to beginning the third year of Confirmation preparation (11th grade)  Please call office at 814-382-7256 or email us.  Meeting times are currently available Wednesday at either 4pm or 5pm.  If you are unable to meet at this time please call so we can make alternative arrangements.  This is mandatory for 11th graders.  Thanks!

RELIGIOUS FORMATION REGISTRATION

All students are to Register for 2015-16 Religious Education classes that will begin 9/20/2015.  Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade must register.  Students must be registered before the start of classes.  Amanda Darke and/or Denise Thomas will be available after each mass on 9/13/2015 and after 5pm mass 9/19/2015.  Registrations will be in the annex.  PARENTS MUST REGISTER YOUR CHILDREN PRIOR TO ADMITTANCE IN THE CLASS ROOM! High School Youth Rally

The Diocesan 2011 High School Youth Rally (for students in Grades 9-12) is scheduled for Saturday, November 19th, 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Villa Maria Academy, in Erie, PA. This year’s theme is, “Take courage, I have conquered the world. John 16:33”. Our Spiritual Advisors for the event will be Fr. Shane Mathew and Fr. Steve Schreiber, with music led by Pat Brown and Co., and a special appearance by Bishop Trautman!

The registration fee is $30 and includes the following: powerful keynote presentation & teen testimony, a wonderful banquet dinner, t-shirt and wristband, a CLI reunion room, extreme games, awesome praise & worship music, service project/farewell gift for Bishop Trautman, Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of Christ the King, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a farewell tribute to Bishop Trautman, and loads of fun with fellow Catholic teens. Opportunities for confession will also be available.

The enclosed Youth Release Form along with a check made payable to “OLQA” must be returned to Pam Davis, CRE no later than October16th.
