Annual Roast Beef or Chicken Dinner
July 20th, 2010Our parish will celebrate our annual dinner on Sunday, August 1st, from after the 10:30 Mass until 6:00 P.M. The menu includes your choice of meat, potatoes and gravy, vegetable, cole slaw, roll and butter, beverage, and your choice of homemade pie for dessert. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 years of age and younger. During the dinner you can play instant bingo, and theme baskets, a gas grill, and $150 gas card will be given away at 6:00 P.M. Raffle tickets for these prizes can be purchased at the dinner. This is a major fundraiser for our parish, so please try to come and celebrate: great food, lots of fun, and wonderful fellowship!
Last week my wife and I planned on the annual dinner and were going to be there in mid afternoon, our plans changed and instead we bought 6 dinners to go and took them to Pittsburgh. We celebrated our granddaughters 9th birthday that weekend. Well, all the way to Pittsburgh all we could smell is the great aroma coming from the dinners we bought. The dinners were as tasteful as the aromas were to our senses.
Thanks to all who were able to participate in the preparation of the wonderful dinners.
Thanks so much for the comments about our dinner . . . and for supporting us on that day. Glad you enjoyed the meals! We have looked into remote openings for the side doors, but were unable to because of a few reasons. One was how close the two doors are to one another. And the other reason had something to do with the slope of the walk. So, we TRY to have greeters or ushers at the doors at each Mass. We all need to be reminded now and then. Thanks!
